2024 Course Dates

Most courses through National Aviation Academy are structured to start with any required theory components.

We offer theory courses covering PPL, CPL and IREX syllabus at our dedicated training facility. All study materials/course notes and accessories are available from National Aviation Academy. In most cases, students can also start outside of the set course start dates. Theory courses are only available to students who are also undertaking flight training through NAA.

Please note, students may join NAA at any time, if the theory dates do not suite your schedule please contact us so we can create a personalised study schedule.

A full timetable of upcoming Commercial Theory subjects dates is listed below.

The CPL theory course runs for 12 weeks, 0730 - 1430 Monday to Friday. Subject dates below include exam days. Classes are run as normal on most public holidays. Please note that exams may be scheduled on a weekend.

The AVI50222 - Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence - Aeroplane) is delivered on behalf of TAFE Queensland. Townsville Flight Training provides training and assessment of this accredited qualification for TAFE Queensland RTO 0275 who will award this qualification/statement of attainment.

Diploma of Aviation & CPL courses are run concurrently with the same start dates.

We run an intensive 3 week full time (Mon-Fri) theory course covering the 7 subjects that make up the PPL theory exam. Students are encouraged to come in and fly before starting theory! 

Our next course starts on the 20th May 2024 and enrolments are open now!

Please note, for students eager to get in and start flying - you are welcome to come in early and fly before your PPL(A) theory course begins.
